Role overview
About the Role:
CARS Software Engineering is looking for great software engineers to join our team for the next phase of our business and technical evolution. In 2021, we launched a new Elixir-based platform that is allowing us to accelerate our teamwork and transform Cars.com, a 20-year-old public company, and will ultimately enable our continued innovation and fuel our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Develop quality, scalable, efficient software using Elixir, Phoenix, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Work across multi-disciplined teams in Engineering, Design, Product, and the rest of the organization, with the ability to influence & drive results.
- Approach challenges with a growth mindset.Â

Required Skills & Experience:
- 1+ year of professional experience within an enterprise dev environment.
- Interested in full-stack, enterprise-level software development experience.
- Interested in Elixir, or a similar functional programming language.
- Interested Kubernetes
- Interested in AWS & Cloud computing.Â
