Marigold is a dynamic and collaborative company, established by Gabriel Alfour in November 2020, focused on testing and developing upgrades to the Tezos Protocol. After working on testing and benchmarking the existing protocol code at Nomadic Labs, Gabriel founded a new company around the LIGO programming language. Then, wanting to improve the performance of the Tezos blockchain, he assembled a developer team and founded Marigold. The team is fully remote, skill-oriented, specializing in functional programming, with the ability to understand Tezos code in a flat organization. Marigold is dedicated to Tezos’ efficiency and is constantly working on technical contributions. Doing so, it is fully-integrated in the Tezos ecosystem.

We're on a mission. To create a vibrant decentralized network and open programmable currency—so we can all participate, build, exchange and thrive. It’s Time to Own Our Future Living in today’s world requires giving up a lot of control. Every day, we give up control of intimate data to large tech companies to use online services. We give up control of our finances to banks and unaccountable credit bureaus. We give up control of our elections to voting system companies who run opaque and unauditable elections. Even when we try to escape this power imbalance and participate in blockchains, most of us give up control and trust to third parties to verify transactions. Why? Because running a full node requires expensive hardware, unsustainable amounts of electricity and tons of time to sync increasingly heavier and heavier chains. But it doesn’t have to be this way. That’s why we created Mina. In June of 2017, O(1) Labs kicked off an ambitious new open source project to design a layer one protocol that could deliver on the original promise of blockchain—true decentralization, scale and security. Rather than apply brute computing force, Mina offers an elegant solution using advanced cryptography and recursive zk-SNARKs. Over the past three years, our team together with our incredible community have launched and learned through several testnet phases. And now, at long last, we are proud to introduce Mina to the wider world. Here, developers can build powerful applications like Snapps3 (SNARK-powered apps) to offer financial services without compromising data privacy and programmable money that anyone can access trustlessly from their phones. And that’s just the beginning. While there will still be challenges to come, the world’s lightest, most accessible blockchain is ready to be powered by a whole new generation of participants. Here’s to a more efficient, elegant and fair future – for all of us. The Mina Foundation stewards the Mina Protocol – the world’s lightest blockchain, powered by participants. Our team is based in San Francisco, and we are funded by top investors (including Coinbase Ventures, Polychain, Metastable and Three Arrows). The Mina Foundation is overseen by a stellar team of directors who are industry-leading experts

At Orkestro, we harness human and machine intelligence to disrupt the logistics industry. Our ultimate goal is to build a sustainable transportation network through advanced technology, innovation and cooperation while putting people and the planet first. We orchestrate B2B delivery process to optimise speed, reduce costs and minimise risks. We are orchestrators, actuators of intelligence. As one of the most promising early-stage technology companies right now, we are hiring a range of smart and ambitious individuals. We always strive to push the boundaries of creativity while adapting to stakeholder demands and global trends. Therefore, rather than defining roles with high specificity at this stage, we are approaching our team building in a holacratic manner. We envision that our early stage team will be made up of people that are holistic problem solvers and see the bigger picture as regards all stakeholders that join our ecosystem. Our ambitions are big, and this is reflected in the funding position we are now in - with a multimillion investment secured from carefully selected institutional venture capitalist including Cherry Ventures and LocalGlobe - investors that have backed the likes of Citymapper, Improbable, Lovefilm (acquired by Amazon), Transferwise and Zoopla (London Stock Exchange listed followed by a recent Silverlake buyout). What's the company culture? We are product-driven (and flat-structure) organisation with strong focus on engineering. We are pragmatic, we try to move fast, but we also care about craftsmanship. What management style or development methodology (e.g. Scrum, XP) does the team use? Do you use JIRA or Trello? At the moment, we prefer the Kanban method. We use JIRA (and Confluence). Does management have a technical background? Our management come from different engineering disciplines who have strong trust in their product engineering team. How many people are on the team? At the time of writing, there is 10 of us. How do you handle working hours? Do you use time tracking? We usually come in for the standup, otherwise we are pretty flexible. Which product/area of the product will I be working on? Our aim is to build a culture that promotes understanding of the entire platform as well as being able to contribute anywhere in the stack. What does the office environment look like? What hardware will I be using? We are based in WeWork (Old Street for now). We use Apple hardware which will be provided based on your preference. How do people usually dress at the office? Casual, there is no dress code. We want you to feel comfy!
