Engineering Manager

At Movement Labs, we are leading the way in blockchain technology with an open modular framework for building and deploying Move-based infrastructure, applications, and blockchains in any distributed environment. We are seeking a hands-on engineering leader to lead our team of engineers, researchers, developer relations, and solution engineers. You will shape the engineering culture and uphold standards of excellence, offer technological vision and leadership, and ensure alignment between our business objectives and our engineering capabilities, roadmaps, and technology stack.

You Will:

• Lead and support a team of high-performing engineers across various time zones
• Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Developer Relations, Business Development, Marketing, Legal, etc. to refine Movement Labs’ strategic objectives
• Own project roadmapping and coordination across the team to enable high quality and fast execution
• Establish systems for monitoring the health of the engineering team’s performance
• Partner with other Engineering leaders to drive the roadmap forward and establish processes that maximize efficiency and output
• Help in recruiting efforts for the engineering team

You Have:

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering management experience
• Strong technical background
• Experience managing teams across various time zones
• Track record of operational excellence

You May Have (optional):

• Rust and/or Go development experience
• Grown teams from zero to one in a startup culture
• Understanding of Blockchain protocol design
• Experience in smart contract development
